Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2, 2026
This is a draft, not final legal advice. Before publishing, we recommend a review by a lawyer, especially regarding limitation of liability and jurisdiction.
1. Scope of services
Mailcoded is three related services: the marketing site (mailcoded.com), the free QA checker (free.mailcoded.com), and the paid app (app.mailcoded.com). Using the app may be subject to an additional agreement presented when you set up an organization.
2. Free checker (Playground)
- The checker is provided "as is," without guarantee of uninterrupted operation or complete QA results.
- Technical limits apply: requests per minute per IP address, maximum size of pasted HTML, and the number of links checked.
- Uploading unlawful content, malicious code, or attempts to circumvent limits (e.g. automating bulk requests) is prohibited.
- QA results are advisory — the user bears ultimate responsibility for campaign content and sending.
3. App
Full access to the template editor, locale compilation, and ESP export requires an account within an organization. You provide API keys for ESP providers at your own risk — Mailcoded doesn't manage your recipient lists or send campaigns on your behalf.
4. Content ownership
HTML templates, translations, and data you enter into the product remain your property. Mailcoded claims no rights to them beyond what's necessary to provide the service (e.g. storage, compilation, preview rendering).
5. Limitation of liability
Mailcoded strives to make QA results accurate, but doesn't guarantee detection of every possible rendering, personalization, or email client compatibility issue. The decision to send a campaign is always the user's.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll communicate material changes via the site or by email for accounts registered in the app.
